I know that this is a bit of taboo subject but, all financial issues apart, I feel I have to say something about Dean's commitment to this club over the years. This is my personal view.
Dean has been coming to Croydon Athletic since he was a child and has undertaken virtually every job at the club in that time from kit man to chairman. His work rate for the Rams was phenomenal, something which will probably only come to light now that his range of duties have to be covered by others inside the club. He has never been anything but 100% Croydon Athletic. People are not aware of the amount that has to be done just to get a match played and the background administration that has to be put in place. Dean's knowledge of non-league football was endless, and he will leave a great void in the club's admin set up which will be a hard place to fill.
He has committed a crime and is paying for it, but Croydon Athletic Football Club should be grateful for his hard graft and long hours worked over the years.
